Donald Trump, who previously criticized cryptocurrencies as a “disaster waiting to happen,” has announced the launch of his own NFTs (non-fungible tokens) featuring himself in various outfits and fantasy scenarios.
The former US president made the announcement on his Truth Social app and released a promotional video in which he invited people to attend a “gala dinner” with him in Palm Beach, Florida by purchasing 45 Trump Digital Trading Cards.
Each card also comes with a chance to win prizes, including the chance to have dinner with Trump himself.
However, the website for the initiative states that winners are responsible for their own transportation and housing costs.
Trump has been criticized in the past for his negative comments about Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.
