Adidas, the global apparel and footwear giant, has recently announced a partnership with popular digital artist FEWOCiOUS to create a unique collection that combines physical sneakers with NFTs.

This collaboration marks another milestone for Adidas as it dives deeper into the world of digital collectibles, aiming to stay competitive in the market alongside rivals like Nike.

The Adidas Originals x FEWOCiOUS collection showcases a harmonious collision of perspectives, offering customers the opportunity to own an artist-designed physical sneaker along with a corresponding NFT.

Adidas and FEWOCiOUS Join Forces:

The partnership between Adidas and FEWOCiOUS brings together the artist’s distinctive style, personal approach, and bold aesthetic with Adidas’ renowned craftsmanship and global brand appeal.

The collaboration aims to create a range of physical and digital drops that capture the essence of both creators, appealing to sneaker enthusiasts and art collectors alike.

The NFT Redemption Pass:

As part of the collection, Adidas will introduce a limited supply of Trefoil Flower Mint Passes, available for minting on the OpenSea marketplace starting from June 22.

These NFT mint passes serve as direct redemption tickets for a pair of custom-designed physical sneakers called Adidas Originals Campus 00s.

The mint pass holders will have the opportunity to burn the NFT starting in August and receive their physical sneakers the following month.

Each pair of sneakers will also feature an NFC tag, linking it to a companion NFT and adding an interactive element to the ownership experience.

The Trefoil Flower NFT Release:

The Trefoil Flower NFT will be released through a pre-sale in three stages, followed by a public minting event. Early access to minting will be granted to individuals who already own Adidas’ Alts Decos and Soles NFTs, as well as Fewocious Paint Drops, at a discounted price of 0.2 ETH (approximately $350). This exclusive offering allows dedicated collectors to secure their NFTs and enjoy the benefits of early ownership.

A Continued Partnership:

This collaboration is not the first time Adidas has partnered with FEWOCiOUS. The artist made their official debut with Adidas at Studio during Art Basel Miami in December 2022.

With a strong presence in the NFT space and collaborations with renowned entities like Nike-owned RTFKT, Christie’s, Sotheby’s, and the David Bowie estate, FEWOCiOUS brings a unique artistic perspective to the partnership.

Adidas’ Venture into the NFT Space:

Adidas has been actively exploring the NFT space since its initial purchase of a Bored Ape NFT. This acquisition led to the creation of the fictional character Indigo Herz in December 2021. Additionally, Adidas launched the “Into the Metaverse” collection, facilitating over $150 million worth of NFT trading volume to date.

The collection also offers exclusive merchandise for NFT holders, enhancing the overall ownership experience.
