In recent news, it has been revealed that deep-pocketed crypto investors are suddenly shifting more than a billion dollars in Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), XRP and Polygon (MATIC) as markets dip.
Whale Alert, a platform that surveys crypto whales, has reported that crypto whales have moved $849.1 million worth of BTC during the past two days alone.
The largest of the BTC transactions was a massive 10,000 Bitcoin worth $269.4 million that was moved from an unknown wallet to another unknown wallet.
There were several other transactions involving Bitcoin that Whale Alert has reported, including 1,572 BTC worth $41.40 million that was transferred from an unknown wallet to crypto liquidity provider B2C2.
Additionally, 2,028 BTC worth $53.41 million was transferred from an unknown wallet to crypto exchange Coinbase.
Also, 999 BTC worth $26.38 million was transferred from crypto exchange Binance to an unknown wallet, while 867 BTC worth $22.89 million was transferred from Binance to another unknown wallet.
Two other transactions involving BTC were 999 BTC worth $26.65 million and 5,500 BTC worth $146.79 million, both of which were transferred from an unknown wallet to another unknown wallet. Finally, 9,714 BTC worth $262.07 million was transferred from an unknown wallet to another unknown wallet.
Whale Alert also reported that a deep-pocketed investor moved a massive amount of layer-2 scaling solution Polygon. Specifically, the investor moved 30,000,000 MATIC worth $24.94 million from Polygon Staking to an unknown wallet.
The platform further noted that there were two large transactions involving Ethereum on May 11th that totaled $164.4 million.
The Ethereum transactions on Whale Alert’s radar include 22,860 ETH $40.46 million transferred from an unknown wallet to crypto exchange Binance and 70,000 ETH $123.91 million transferred from an unknown wallet to another unknown wallet.
Finally, Whale Alert noted that high-net-worth traders are shifting XRP, the native asset used to operate Ripple Labs’ payments platform.
One crypto whale moved 50,000,000 XRP, worth $20.95 million at the time, from Ripple to another unknown wallet. Additionally, 28,000,000 XRP worth $11.59 million was transferred from an unknown wallet to crypto exchange Bitstamp.
