The SEC has filed a claim against eight individuals associated with Atlas Trading, a Discord-based forum.
The defendants are accused of violating the Securities Act and Securities Exchange Act through a stock manipulation scheme that generated over $100 million in illegal profits.
Furthermore, the SEC is seeking a permanent injunction to prevent the defendants from engaging in similar practices in the future.
The defendants include co-founder Edward Constantin, CEO Perry Matlock, and YouTube channel “Goblin Gang” hosts Thomas Cooperman and Gary Deel, as well as podcast hosts Mitchell Hennessey and Daniel Knight, forum founder John Rybarcyzk, and Twitter influencer Stefan Hrvatin.
