The deployment of Mars Hub’s mainnet on the Cosmos blockchain marks a significant milestone for the protocol, which had to be completely rebuilt from scratch after the collapse of the Terra blockchain.
The protocol will now be available on Osmosis, the largest DEX on the Cosmos ecosystem, providing users with access to a wide range of Cosmos-based tokens.
Users will be able to borrow and lend these tokens and receive rewards in MARS tokens for staking.
In addition, 64.4 million MARS governance tokens have been unlocked, with those that held MARS tokens on Terra Classic receiving an airdrop based on two historical snapshots.
Mars Hub’s deployment on the Cosmos blockchain is an encouraging development for the DeFi space and will provide users with access to a more secure and reliable lending protocol.
