Starbucks is offering select customers and staff in the US an exclusive opportunity to join the beta version of its loyalty program, Starbucks Odyssey.

Through engaging interactive activities, participants can embark on “Journeys” and collect unique digital collectibles called “Journey Stamps” as well as Odyssey Points.

These points can be used to redeem exclusive rewards and experiences.

Starbucks has launched the Odyssey program, an addition to its Rewards program, to further integrate Web3 and NFTs.

Participants will embark on ‘Journeys’ consisting of interactive tasks such as virtual tours, quizzes, and games.

Upon completion of each Journey, members will be rewarded with a ‘Journey Stamp’ (a Polygon-based non-fungible token) and additional Points for their total Point score.

Brady Brewer, Starbucks’ Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, unveiled an initiative earlier this month to make emerging technology accessible and approachable for customers of all backgrounds.

The chain has sent out initial invitations to a select group of waitlist members and employees, and from January 2023 onwards, will provide monthly invitations to a larger pool of waitlist members.

After the beta launch of the program, members will be able to purchase Starbucks Odyssey digital collectible Stamps on the Nifty Gateway-powered Starbucks Odyssey market.

In 2021, members will be offered a special opportunity to acquire “Limited-Edition Stamps” (NFTs).

Proceeds from the sales of these stamps will be donated to causes that are important to Starbucks partners and Starbucks Rewards members.
