A rehabilitation center in Spain named “The Balance” has added services to treat addiction to crypto trading.
The center, which was founded in Switzerland, offers a 4-week stay that includes therapy, massages, and yoga and can cost up to $75,000.
Other rehab clinics in Scotland and Thailand have also begun treating cryptocurrency addiction using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Psychodynamic Theory (PT).
The fast-paced and unpredictable nature of crypto trading is believed to have led to a demand for rehabilitation services for those struggling with addiction.
Family Addiction Specialist estimates that 1% of cryptocurrency traders may develop a severe addiction, while 10% may experience other problems beyond financial loss.
Symptoms of the addiction include checking crypto prices constantly, even in the middle of the night.
