The Solana Foundation’s Remote Procedure Call (RPC) endpoints, which are used by crypto apps and wallets to connect to the blockchain, are currently offline due to a bug in the Solana Validator client’s test release 1.14.

The incident has not impacted Solana’s ability to create new blocks, unlike past outages that froze block production for several hours.

Private RPCs offered by companies such as Triton, QuickNode, and Alchemy remain online and can be used as an alternative.

Austin Federa, the head of strategy and communications at the Solana Foundation, stated that the issue only affects RPC endpoints run by the Solana Foundation, and that many private providers are operating normally.
