The global adoption efforts of Shiba Inu (SHIB) are gaining momentum, and the next stop on its journey appears to be Toronto, Canada.

While the exact location is not explicitly mentioned in a recent message from Shytoshi Kusama, the leader of the Shiba Inu executive team, a short video shared some exciting details.

In a tweet, Shytoshi wrote, “Wen is so last year. The real question is.. #WHERE?” This cryptic message is likely in response to the SHIB community’s persistent inquiries about the specific date for the launch of Shibarium.

Earlier statements from the SHIB team indicated that the highly-anticipated Layer-2 scaling solution for Shiba Inu is scheduled for release in Q3 of 2023.

Interestingly, rumors circulating on Twitter within the Shiba Inu community suggest that the SHIB Token team will be participating in this year’s ETHToronto conference.

According to these rumors on various social media platforms, SHIB Token might be making its way to Toronto from August 13th to 16th, 2023.

During the conference, a comprehensive presentation showcasing all Shiba Inu-related products is expected, including the introduction of Shibarium.

Shibarium, the eagerly awaited L2 scaling solution, addresses several challenges faced by the two-year-old memecoin. Currently dependent on the Ethereum (ETH) network as an ERC-20 token, Shiba Inu will unlock new possibilities and opportunities with the transition to Shibarium. Some key benefits include:

  1. Faster transactions and cheaper fees.
  2. Implementation of the Shiba Inu auto-burning mechanism.
  3. Enhanced scalability for decentralized applications (dApps), games, and non-fungible tokens (NFTs).

These advantages set the stage for the launch of “SHIB: The Metaverse,” a digital world exclusively for Shiba Inu fans, and the blockchain version of “Shiba Eternity,” a collectible card game. By utilizing Shibarium, members of the SHIB Army will be able to build and interact on a separate blockchain without the need to rely solely on Ethereum (ETH).

Interestingly, some members of the SHIB Army speculate that Toronto, Canada, was chosen as the location for Shibarium’s introduction to pay tribute to Ethereum (ETH) and its founder, Vitalik Buterin.

This could serve as a gesture of gratitude from the Shiba Inu community for Mr. Buterin’s act of burning half of the initial supply of $SHIB tokens in a single transaction.
