Shibarium, the highly anticipated testnet for Shiba Inu, has witnessed a significant surge in the number of wallet addresses connected to its beta version, Puppynet.
According to data provided by puppyscan.shib.io, the number of wallets linked to Puppynet has skyrocketed to 3,122,259 from 365,282 in just one day. Additionally, the overall transaction number has surged to 2,953,911 from 2,255,398.
The testnet was released on March 11 after months of anticipation, and its documentation explained how Puppynet would operate, including details on the burn mechanism. Since the Puppynet release, the SHIB burn rate has risen drastically on a daily and weekly basis.
Shibarium poised for mainnet launch Shiba Inu influencer Lucie Sasnikova also tweeted that the number of tokens deployed on Puppynet has reached 71, indicating that this number will be much bigger when the mainnet is launched.
The Shibarium beta version has generated a lot of excitement in the Shiba Inu community, with the expectation that trillions of Shiba Inu will be removed from circulation once the mainnet launches. The increase in wallet addresses is seen as a positive sign for the future of the platform.
NOWPayments strikes partnership with Shibarium
In a significant development for Shiba Inu’s adoption and utility, the major crypto payments platform NOWPayments has partnered with Shibarium.
The integration of Shibarium into the platform will enable consumers to pay with their favorite token, SHIB, in a user-friendly way.
The lead of Shiba Inu, Shytoshi Kusama, personally approved the partnership, according to a tweet by NOWPayments.
The integration of SHIB into crypto payment providers like BitPay, Binance Pay, and NOWPayments has significantly expanded its adoption as a payment method, allowing users to buy sports cars, watches, and even rent cars and real estate.
