The Seoul government has launched “Metaverse Seoul,” a public metaverse project that allows citizens to interact with virtual representatives of the government in order to handle civil complaints and consultations.

This project, which is set to be open to the public in 2023, includes services such as a fintech lab, a corporate support center, and the city’s top tourist attractions.

The metaverse market is projected to reach $1 trillion by 2030 and countries around the world are working to drive its adoption.

Other examples include Seongnam in South Korea creating a digital copy of the city, and Tuvalu becoming the world’s first digital nation.

The metaverse is becoming an important tool for communication and access to services and more governments and organizations are expected to embrace this technology in the future.
