LG Electronics has partnered with cloud technology platform Oorbit and Pixelynx, a company building an integrated music, gaming, and Web3 ecosystem, to bring the metaverse to TVs.
The collaboration will allow viewers to access interconnected virtual worlds, virtual concerts and artificial intelligence multiplayer games through their LG TVs, making it easier for them to interact in the metaverse.
Pooya Koosha, co-founder and CTO of Oorbit, said that the partnership will scale their technology for millions of LG TV customers and make the metaverse accessible to all.
In March 2022, LG Electronics updated its business development goals to include cryptocurrency and blockchain-based software, with the goal of developing and selling blockchain-based software and selling and brokering cryptocurrency.
