Tomorrow, Illuvium, a blockchain gaming studio, will release an alpha version of its third game, Illuvium: Zero, for holders of its land nonfungible tokens (NFTs).
The game, playable on mobile and PC, is a building game wherein players construct and manage a “digital industrial complex.”
Players can earn money by extracting fuel and selling it in the game’s marketplace. The other two games developed by Illuvium, Monster battler Illuvium: Arena and open world Illuvium: Overworld, are in their beta testing phase.
The company plans to make all three games available to the public in mid-2023.
Illuvium utilizes ImmutableX’s blockchain and Unreal Engine 5 to create a product that can challenge non-blockchain games.
Unfortunately, many mainstream gaming companies, including Mojang Studios and Rockstar Games, have prohibited the use of NFTs on their platforms.
