A cryptocurrency influencer has been served a lawsuit through a tweet as a U.S. court approved it as the last resort to notify him.
Tom Nash, a crypto YouTuber, has been served with the legal notice via a tweet from Moskowitz Law Firm after lawyers claimed that they could not serve him through other means.
Nash is believed to be living in Georgia and is the last of ten defendants named in a class-action lawsuit against influencers who were allegedly promoting the now-bankrupt cryptocurrency exchange FTX without disclosing their compensation.
The court allowed the district court to order an alternate method for service on foreign defendants that is likely to notify the defendant effectively.
The other nine defendants include seven YouTubers, the talent management company, and its founder. Nash and others have been accused of promoting FTX without disclosing the compensation they received for the same.
