The spouse of Do Kwon has been granted the authority to have her real estate assets frozen throughout the investigation into the collapse of the Terra-Luna spacecraft by a court in Seoul.

This decision challenges the boundaries that have been established between private and public assets in cryptocurrency cases and overturns the initial asset preservation order that was issued by the government.

When it comes to the Bitcoin industry, the case also highlights the difficulty of conducting investigations and bringing criminal charges. A sweeping victory was achieved by Do Kwon’s wife in every single third-party objection lawsuit that was filed against the asset seizing operations of the South Korean government.

The Seoul Southern District Court came to the conclusion that the assets should be regarded as the wife’s extraordinary property because they were acquired over the course of her marriage to Kwon.

Property in the Seongsu-dong neighborhood of Seoul and the right to sell office space in the Nonhyeon-dong neighborhood are the primary assets that are at stake.

According to the initial judgment regarding the preservation of assets, these properties, which are valued at 233.3 billion won ($177 million), were also frozen.
