Polygon (MATIC) has recorded impressive growth in daily unique active wallets (dUAW) in March, establishing itself as a significant player in the gaming sector.
According to blockchain intelligence platform DappRadar, Polygon recorded 138,081 dUAWs in March, representing a 53% increase from February.
This surge has elevated Polygon to become the second-largest gaming blockchain after Boomland’s Hunters On-Chain. The blockchain has gained recognition as a gaming blockchain and is shedding its DeFi image.
However, Wax Blockchain (WAXP) retained its position as the leading gaming blockchain with its dUAW far surpassing that of Polygon by over 228%.
DappRadar revealed that on-chain gaming activity decreased by 3.33% in March, but games still make up a chunk of DApp activities, accounting for 45.6% of the DApp industry activity in Q1 2023.
