After Iranian courts ruled in favor of it, the government has begun to return the cryptocurrency mining hardware they had previously seized from unauthorized operations.

The OCSSOP organization has confiscated approximately 150,000 pieces of mining equipment, which are now being released to their rightful owners.

Iran’s Power Generation, Transmission, and Distribution Company has been asked to give advice on how to use the mining hardware without overwhelming the national grid.

Even though cryptocurrency mining was made legal in Iran in 2019, the government has had to suspend the activity due to power shortages and has taken a tough stance against illegal mining activities by Iranians.
