Cardano is a decentralized public blockchain and cryptocurrency project. It was founded in 2017 by Charles Hoskinson, one of the co-founders of Ethereum, and is developed by the non-profit organization IOHK.
Cardano is built on a proof-of-stake consensus algorithm and is designed to be a more scalable and sustainable platform than other existing blockchain networks.
It aims to enable the creation of decentralized applications and smart contracts, and to provide a platform for the development of new cryptocurrencies and digital assets. Cardano’s native cryptocurrency is called ADA.
