Binance has temporarily suspended multiple accounts on its platform due to the Bitzlato investigation, according to the company.
A group of Russian-speaking Binance clients had their accounts blocked without warning, and they created a Telegram group to report the issue.
The group drew parallels between the blockages and enforcement action against Bitzlato by the US Department of Justice.
Binance confirmed the suspensions are connected to the Bitzlato case, but emphasized that over 90% of the accounts have been unlocked and the funds are safe.
The affected users, who are less than 20, were provided with law enforcement contact information. Binance advised users to check its article on reasons for account blockages and what to do in such a situation.
